We designed SnorOFF to be simple, safe, and effective. However, like any medical device, users may occasionally experience minor issues during setup or therapy. This troubleshooting guide helps you quickly identify the problem and resolve it, without interrupting your therapy progress. If your issue isn’t listed, please contact our support team.

Device Not Turning On

Possible Causes

  • Battery drained
  • Device not properly charged

How to Fix

✔ Charge the control unit for at least 60 minutes
✔ Use only the provided charging cable
✔ Check if LED light turns on

Still Not Working?

  • Try a different USB adapter
  • Inspect charging port for dust
  • Contact support if no LED appears

Bluetooth Not Connecting to App

Possible Causes

  • Bluetooth not enabled
  • Device already paired with another phone
  • App not updated

Step-by-Step Solution

  1. Turn ON Bluetooth on your smartphone
  2. Open the SnorOFF App
  3. Tap “Connect Device”
  4. Ensure device is within 1 meter

If pairing fails

✔ Forget previous pairing from Bluetooth settings
✔ Restart your phone
✔ Reinstall the app

Mouthpiece Feels Uncomfortable

Important: Mild adjustment discomfort is normal during the first 3–5 sessions.

Why This Happens?

  • Tongue muscles are not used to stimulation
  • Incorrect placement
  • Over-tight jaw clenching

How to Fix

✔ Place mouthpiece flat under the tongue
✔ Do not bite hard
✔ Start at lower intensity level (Level 1–3)
✔ Increase gradually over 1 week

If sharp pain occurs → Stop use and consult support.

I Feel Tingling but No Tongue Movement

This usually indicates low intensity.

Solution

✔ Increase intensity gradually
✔ Ensure electrodes are fully touching the tongue
✔ Keep tongue relaxed
✔ Do not lift tongue upward

You should see mild forward tongue activation.

Intensity Feels Too Strong

NMES therapy is adjustable.

Solution

✔ Reduce intensity immediately
✔ Stay at comfortable contraction level
✔ Gradually increase over days

Therapy should feel firm but not painful.

App Not Recording My Session

Possible Reasons

  • Device disconnected mid-session
  • App running in background
  • Bluetooth interruption

How to Fix

✔ Keep app open during session
✔ Ensure stable Bluetooth connection
✔ Complete full 20-minute session
✔ Sync manually in app settings

Snoring Not Improving Yet

This is the most common concern.
Important: SnorOFF is not an instant solution.

Clinical improvement timeline

  • Week 1–2 → Muscle activation phase
  • Week 3–4 → Noticeable reduction
  • Week 6+ → Optimal results

Tips to Improve Results

✔ Complete full 20-minute sessions daily
✔ Maintain correct intensity
✔ Do not skip sessions
✔ Replace mouthpiece every 90 days

Why It Takes Time

SnorOFF strengthens tongue muscles gradually, similar to physiotherapy. If no improvement after 6 weeks, contact support for assessment.

Control Unit Not Charging

Check

✔ Use original cable
✔ Try different adapter
✔ Clean charging port gently
✔ Ensure cable fits securely

Charging indicator should glow during charge.

If no LED appears after 1 hour → Contact support.

Excess Saliva During Therapy

This is normal initially.
The tongue stimulation activates salivary reflex.

What To Do

✔ Swallow normally
✔ Sit upright
✔ Keep tissues nearby
✔ It usually reduces after few sessions

Mild Tongue Soreness

Mild soreness can occur in first week.
This is similar to muscle exercise soreness.

Recommendations

✔ Reduce intensity for 2–3 days
✔ Ensure correct placement


If severe pain or ulcer appears → Stop use and consult doctor.
